Who better than Eun-Me Ahn, a pivotal figure in the Asian/Global dance scene, to try to answer these questions?
For her new creation, Post Orientalist Express, Ahn delves deeper into Asia’s rich traditions and fluid movements to challenge and reimagine the representations of her continent
East has been the object of fascination and fantasies in the West. Myths, costumes, music, mouvement and popular culture as are many pretexts for Eun-Me Ahn to tackle the clichés heads on in the seras of a new Asian cultural choreographic identity.
Post Orientalist Express is an invitation to travel and through movement and images to uncover a space where diverse perspective can meet and redefine the encounter between East and West in a joyful explosion of colors and energy.
